Labins Consulting Services
Laboratory
Installation and Support
Delivery of lab results to remote physician
locations (outside the lab) is extremely useful to
Doctors, reference labs, and remote clinical faculties. It eliminates medical
staff need to call the
lab for results which is time consuming for both medical and lab personnel.
Lab systems often print results to
onsite locations and auto-fax to off-site locations. Other methods
used to deliver results may include courier and manual faxing. With remote
printing/faxing results are
delivered as soon as they become available to doctor’s offices, clinic’s, and
remote lab locations.
Remote printing
can be accomplished in two ways, first using a traditional dial up connection
and the
second is via the internet. During dial up remote printers are connect to the printer’s internal modem
or
through a PC's modem that is a local printer (attached to your PC). A protocol
called TCP/IP is used to communicate over the
Internet with your PC which in turn communicates with it's attached printer without
dialing into a modem. Click on secure remote printing for
more information on printing via the Internet.
Labins has made controlling and
maintaining remote printing simple and convenient which is accessed
via your normal lab function
prompt.
If
you have Cache installed it can be controlled from you PC desktop
by simply
clicking on remote print
icon. We invite you
to download a demo copy so that you can
experience the ease of remote printing
from your desktop.
